The Winter Fox

Written by Timothy Knapman, Illustrated by Rebecca Harry

A story about listening to advice of loved ones. Fox wants to play all autumn despite the warnings from his friends that winter is coming and he needs to get ready. While Owl, Rabbit, and Squirrel are cozy in oak tree, Fox is hungry and cold. By the end of the story Fox throws a surprise party for his friends as a way to thank them for trying to help him prepare for winter. The images are simple yet stunning. Rebecca knew how to incorporate the perfect amount of glitter to create a snowy landscape without detracting from the story.
