Emily Windsnap And the Falls of Forgotten Island

Emily Windsnap, #7

Written by Liz Kessler

There are many girls that come into the library to check out books from the Emily Windsnap series. After reading book seven, I can see why. This is a series about a girl who is half mermaid and half human. She has a propensity for getting herself into mystery solving mischief. She has a great collection of friends: Some merfolk, some human, and a boyfriend who is just like her.
In this book, her family finally decides to go on vacation. With her mom being human and her dad a merman, finding a location that will allow for her dad to stay in a body of water, and also accommodate her mom’s human needs, poses to be tricky. But when their family friend Millie finds a resort on the Forgotten Islands that can accommodate them, it’s all a go. Emily even gets to take her mermaid friend Shona, and her half merman, half human boyfriend Aaron along.
While Aaron and Emily are on a day adventure cruise, Emily notices something strange about the waterfalls. She wants so badly to investigate. Before the trip, however, she made a promise to Shona that this trip would strictly be relaxing and lazy. Will Emily be able to keep her promise, or will she get sucked into more mysterious mischief?
