The Problim Children

Written by Natalie Lloyd

The Problim children are not a problem to anyone until their shack in the woods implodes and they decide to move into their grandfather’s old house in town. They are excited to meet people and make new friends, but little do they know there has been trouble in the past between townspeople and the Problim family. There was a big feud, mysterious magic, and their neighbor, Desdemona O’pinion, wants to separate the seven Problim children and send them each to a different continent. Grandpa also left them a long riddle about finding some kind of treasure. Is that why Desdemona is so determined to get rid of the children and claim their house as her own?

As the seven children, each born on a different day of the week and possessing unique qualities, embark on trying to win over the neighborhood and discover the treasure, excitement and hilarity ensue.

This book was a delightful adventure, mystery, and fantasy all wrapped into one. The Problim children are strange and quirky, but lovable. Their way of thinking is something we could all use. Not everything gets resolved at the end because this book is to be followed by a sequel; I can’t wait for book two to come out. The more I read the more I was pulled in to the story, and I was unable to put it down. Very fun read!
