Last-But-Not-Least Lola and a Knot the Size of Texas
Written by Christine Pakkala, Illustrated by Paul Hoppe

Lola is a witty and cheerful second grade girl with curly hair. There is a knot in her hair that is growing just like the trouble she is getting into. She offers to dog-sit for her friends without asking for permission from her parents. The dogs keep getting into mischief and Lola is having a hard time trying to control them. This book is enjoyable and charming. Students will connect with Lola and her escapades.
