The Game of Hope, by Sandra Gulland

The Game of Hope
Written by Sandra Gulland

Hortense’s mother has married Napoleon Bonaparte and now she must deal with the repercussions of that alliance. She is used to being ordinary and has quickly become anything but that. She wishes to marry a man named Christophe but must learn that such things can’t always be your own choice in the world she now lives in. I enjoyed the book quite a bit. The historical aspect was fun to imagine being accurate and the fictional parts made sense for me. The writing was well done. I would recommend it.
