This is the first book in a new series by author Julia Nobel. Grades 4th-6th will enjoy this book which takes the reader on an adventure of mystery and secrets.
The story revolves around Emmy, who is sent to a prestigious boarding school in England called Wellsworth. Emmy’s father has been missing for several years, but before leaving for England, Emmy finds a box of medallions that belonged to her father. Once at school, she finds the medallion designs etched into walls. The symbols lead Emmy and her friends to a secret society called The Order of Black Hollow Lane. Emmy wonders if her father belonged to this secret society, and did it contribute to his disappearance?
