Strays Like Us, by Cecilia Galante

Strays Like Us
Written by Cecilia Galante

Fred (never Winifred!) is at school playing a game she really likes when she gets called to the office with some dreadful news. She can no longer be in her mother’s custody. She goes and lives with a woman who has never had a foster child before so it is a new experience for both of them. While Fred is there she meets a new friend, Adrelia. Together they help their mean neighbor with a dog in bad shape and they have to nurse it back to health. I really liked the book. It is an exciting book with lots of plot twists. I recommend this book to animal lovers because it shows how important one dog can be to three girls.
