Beastly Puzzles, by Rachel Poliquin and Byron Eggenschwiler

Written by Rachel Poliquin, Illustrated by Byron Eggenschwiler

This book was reviewed by Mrs. Cook’s 4th Grade Class.

This was a brain-boggling, animal guessing game book unlike any other we have seen before. The first page presents some everyday objects and clues that relate to an animal’s most fascinating characteristics. When you open the flap, it reveals the animal. We thought the clues were a little tricky and made us think. After the animal was revealed, it was fun to see how it related to the objects that were presented. The colors that were used were interesting and your eyes were really drawn to the illustrations. We had fun solving these riddles as a class and would like to see more books like this one.
