Rad Recycled Art

Written by Emily Kington

Rad Recycled Art is a fun little book with detailed instructions on how to make pieces of art from recycled materials. There are 8 different projects to try, each using a different medium. I loved the cardboard fish made with bottle caps and little pebbles. There are also some ‘Paintbrush Pals’ made from old paintbrushes and clothespins that have a lot of personality! With each project, readers are encouraged to search at home for odds and ends that might otherwise be thrown away. I really liked the bold, bright text features and easy-to-follow instructions. This book has lots of colored pictures that make the projects appealing too. This would be a great book to add to your nonfiction collection, especially for Earth Day, hobbies, and how-to sections.
