Sea Glass Summer, by Michelle Houts and Bagram Ibatoulline

Written by Michelle Houts, Illustrated by Bagram Ibatoulline

A young boy spends the summer at his grandmother’s island cottage. They spend their days walking on the rocky beach searching for treasures that the tide has brought in the night before. His grandmother gives him a magnifying glass that belonged to his grandfather. He enjoys looking at rocks, clam shells, and sea glass. His grandmother tells him that each piece of sea glass has its own story. At night he would dream about what those stories might be. Beautiful watercolor illustrations.
