Lost Soul, Be at Peace

Written and Illustrated by Maggie Thrash

Maggie is depressed and flunking eleventh grade. She feels like her parents don’t “see” her. She loves her cat and worries for its safety due to the coyotes. Ironically, it gets lost in her own house and she can’t seem to find it. In this extension of Honor Girl, readers will continue to learn about Maggie through her graphic novel memoir. The author’s depression is well illustrated through text and images as readers dive into her mind to understand her past. Recommended for those who like realistic stories, memoirs, Honor Girl, Anya’s Ghost, and other similar graphic novels.
