The Scarecrow

Written by Beth Ferry, Illustrated by The Fan Brothers

Being a scarecrow is a lonely job. No one visits you, and if they try, you just scare them away. The animals are all afraid of Scarecrow and then one day a baby crow lands by him and he picks it up and saves its life. A beautiful story of friendship and love that runs the gamut of emotions from loneliness to joyfulness. The illustrations are as beautiful as the story. My classes loved this book and how it made them feel.
