Poem in My Pocket

Written by Chris Tougas, Illustrated by Josée Bisaillon

I chose to review this book because of Poem in Your Pocket Day, which occurs every April during National Poetry Month. I was hoping to get some new ideas to share with students. I am thinking that students might be as confused as I was. There is a promising start. A girl has a poem in her pocket, but the pocket rips and the words come tumbling out. Throughout the rest of the book, these words are here and there. The words make other words. The words are scrambled. The words go everywhere except in to a poem.
