Dory Fantasmagory: Tiny Tough

Written and Illustrated by Abby Hanlon

The Dory Fantasmagory series seems to get better with each new addition and Tiny Tough does not disappoint.

Mom thinks it is time for Dory to come up with some new games to play and leave her imaginary friends (and enemies) behind. Dory, who is on a real pirate kick, is fine with that if she can have Tubtown, a long discontinued toy. She spends her bath imagining she is on a Pirate ship when her old enemy Mrs. Gobble Gracker shows up to kidnap her. This time Dory joins forces with her old foe. Meanwhile, her imaginary best friend Mary is creating imaginary friends of her own, Violet is having friendship issues (which Dory is very concerned about), and Mr. Nuggy gets very confused during opposite day. Needless to say, this book is a flight of fancy!

I like how Dory is trying to show love and concern for her sister, Violet, in this new adventure. This story is perfect for chapter book readers needing a smile and a good laugh.
