Wanda’s Words Got Stuck

Written by Lucy Rowland, Illustrated by Paula Bowles

Wanda is a young witch who is extremely shy. She does not like talking, and her words seem to always become stuck when she tries to speak at school. One day a new student is introduced to the class and she and Wanda become fast friends. They help each other with the upcoming magic contest at school, but when things go wrong Wanda has to decide if she will use her voice to save her school and new friend.

This rhyming book is filled with great pictures and would be a great read aloud, especially to a child that struggles with speaking and being in groups.
