How to Hear the Universe

Gaby González and the Search for Einstein’s Ripples in Space-Time

Written by Patricia Valdez, Illustrated by Sara Palacios

How to Hear the Universe is an interesting picture book biography. It connects Albert Einstein’s original idea of ripples in space-time with another scientist, Gaby González. She came along about 50 years later and was interested in the same scientific theory. She and a team of physicists figured out a way to prove Einstein’s theory. Ripples in space-time is a complex theory, but the author does a good job simplifying this concept for the reader. The connection between the two scientists is presented in a fun and captivating way and the illustrations are super cute. I really enjoyed this book by Patricia Valdez (also author of Joan Procter, Dragon Doctor).
