Gussy

Written by Jimmy Cajoleas

There’s this world that has witches and spell casters and mythical things that do evil. There are people in every village called Protectors, and they do rites in order to protect the town. These rites take up more than half of the day, and have to be performed basically perfectly! The rites they perform keep all evil out, but every day they still have to close their gates at night because the biggest Evil, THE GREAT DOOM, roams around at night and if any rite has the slightest mistake then The Great Doom will get in. A girl, Gussy, lives in a village with a protector, Grandpa Widow. One day a rider was trying to get to the village before the gates closed and the rider just barely made it, and gave Grandpa Widow a letter. The next day Grandpa Widow leaves for a trip to go to The Council of Protectors, and Gussy has to be the protector of the village. While Gussy is protecting the village, The Great Doom infects a cup, then clothes, then a human being! One day The Greatest Witch shows up, and starts destroying everything, and then gets infected by The Great Doom. Now The Great Doom is in the town!

I’d give this book 5 stars because it has a good sense of imagination and is very intriguing, and this book has many different parts. The story is amazing and magical!
