A Hundred Thousand Welcomes

Written by MaryLee Donovan, Illustrated by Lian Cho

This picture book is so needed in the world we live in, and I appreciate this kind and inclusive message being written for children, who truly need to learn at a young age to love and welcome everyone. This story shares how to say “Welcome” in thirteen different languages. The illustrations are beautiful and display pictures of different cultures, traditions, and food. I quote the illustrator who says “We fear what we do not know, and I hope that through these pages, readers will learn more about cultures and families and rituals different from their own.”

I highly recommend for every library!
