¡¡Manu!!

Written and Illustrated by Kelly Fernández

This was an interesting book. It was about girls with magic powers, and one has more power than the rest. I think it is LGBTQ+ friendly, but I am uncertain. I think that was the point, though it was open to interpretation. So it could be about best friends or a romance between two girls, however you see it. The con was that the story as a whole wasn’t great. I think the idea behind it was great, but I think I would have loved more character growth. I feel like it kind of skipped that part. All of the sudden the main character was good, but there wasn’t really any growth of the character shown. I know it is a graphic novel, and I think the idea is great, it just wasn’t enough to complete the story.
