Written and Illustrated by Christy Mandin

A pearl named Lucky goes on an underwater adventure to find a new home when her home is ruined by trash. In her search for a new home she also finds something unexpected and even better: friendship!I love the character Lucky and her personality! The illustrations are fun and bright and great for young readers. I expected this picture book to be just a cute story, but it also has a message on the effects of ocean pollution. The back of the book has great info and even asks readers to look for items in the story that don’t belong in the ocean. This would be a fun story to read for Earth Day or any day of the year!
