The Best at It

Written by Maulik Pancholy

Rahul is convinced he needs to be the BEST at something, he just doesn’t know what. This simple, yet well written middle grade book covers many subjects: bullying, anxiety disorders, cultural diversity, discrimination, family life, and friendships. This story will pull at your heart strings as you follow Rahul’s positive momentum trying to find himself in seventh grade. Supported by his best friend, Chelsea, he tries out for the football team, a TV commercial, and soon finds his niche as he reluctantly joins the math club at school. This story gently touches same sex attraction in a way that its young audience will feel comfortable reading.
