This is an autobiography of Michaela DePrince, who was born in 1995 in war-torn Sierra Leone. She was orphaned when she was only three. Eventually she was adopted by an American family. Michaela had an impossible dream to become a ballerina. This amazing girl, with the support of her new family, overcame many obstacles and hardships and went on to realize her dream. I found the story very moving. It is such a good positive read. I highly recommend it.
