Losing a father is tough for any child. When you don’t get answers to your questions about how your father died it is even harder. Mike wanted very much to know about his father. One day, just before he turned 16 he received a letter from his father that was written before his dad died. More letters came it seemed just at the right time to help Mike.

The letters encouraged him to complete missions like a soldier must do in combat. With the encouragement from his father, Mike now moves forward in his sophomore year of high school to have fun, be a better son and brother, work hard, even get a girlfriend. Mike is not truthful with his mother, which makes things harder when she finds out the truth. All of this is part of growing up, learning who to trust, how much information to share with friends, mother, and a younger sister.

This is a great read for any young man, or woman, to learn the consequences of choices.
