Fairy Tales for Mr. Barker

Fairy Tales for Mr. BarkerBy Jessica Ahlberg

As a fan of the author’s parents and fairy tale re-tellings, I was excited to see this book. The illustrations are very reminiscent of The Jolly Postman and Each Peach Pear Plum. Lots of incredible detail and humor included in the illustrations make this a joy to re-read as you always see something new. The pages include cleverly placed cut-outs that add to the story. This book would work well for teachers studying fairy tales, for independent reading, or a read aloud.
