Dragonwatch is Brandon Mull’s much anticipated sequel to his hugely popular Fablehaven series, and it doesn’t disappoint the reader. Seth and Kendra are back for another adventure at their Grandparents’ home, Fablehaven, a little older and a little wiser. However, in the secret Dragon Sanctuary of Wyrmroost the Dragons are growing restless and ready to break free and reclaim their former power in the world. In days long gone, the ancient order of Dragonwatch kept the Dragons in line but nearly all of them are gone now and so the wizard, Agad, reaches out to the inhabitants of Fablehaven for help. The brother and sister duo have to summon all their skills, talents and wisdom to fight this new enemy and restore order to Fablehaven.
Fans of this series will quickly find themselves immersed again in the magical world that the author seems to so easily and effortlessly create for his readers. I highly recommend this for ages 10 and up.
