YALSA has announced the finalists for the 2011 William C. Morris YA Debut Award. Now in its third year, this award “celebrates the achievement of a previously unpublished author, or authors, who have made a strong literary debut in writing for young adult readers.”

The winner of this award, chosen from these finalists, will be announced next month at the ALA Midwinter meeting.
