Daughter of Xanadu

This is the story of a strong-willed and beautiful young woman named Emmajin who wants to become a warrior in the army of the Great Khan Khublai. She wants to achieve independence by showing bravery on the battlefield. However, she gets distracted by a charming foreigner, Marco Polo.

I liked this book because it is well written and has really interesting characters. The author took the time to research the time period. The romance between Emmajin and Marco was well thought-out and seemed very realistic. This book would be most interesting to teen girls who like historical romance.
