All Four Stars

allfourstarsWritten by Tara Dairman

Gladys Gatsby loves to cook, even though she does it in secret. Her non-culinary parents think she should be like other girls her age. But her passion is revealed when she accidently sets the kitchen curtains on fire making Crème Brulee. What follows is a series of events that leads Gladys accidentally on the way to becoming a food critic for the New York Standard Newspaper. Will she succeed? I loved Gladys for her determination and creativity. Her passion drives her all the way with humor and joy, even when dealing with school problems. Her love of good food and fine cooking sharply contrasts with her loveable fast-food junkie parents, with funny results. This is a wonderful, heartwarming novel filled with real life situations that just made me feel happy and that teaches anything is possible if you have determination, humor, and love on your side. All Four Stars is a Five Star Story!

  1. Great review, looks like a cute book! I found this in our embarrassingly large backlog of excellent reviews. I really wish I had more time to get more of them published, but I’ll keep digging away.
