Rhoobart is a robot made of spare parts. One day his heart will not start so he goes to the secondhand parts store. After some difficulties he decides to give up until another robot shows him his heart just needs a jump start. I really enjoy Ed Emberley and heart warming stories but this book fell flat for me. The illustrations are dark and chaotic. The pages are so busy and unfocused that it’s difficult to study the illustrations to see all the details. The story seems disjointed and the rhyming gets tiresome. Students who like robots will be drawn to the book.
