Addison Cooke and the Treasure of the Incas

I really enjoyed reading this book. The author captured my attention from the first chapter until the very end. It is a very fast-paced adventure novel that makes you want to keep reading just a few more pages until you realize you have read another 30 pages. The author throws in some high vocabulary words, but he does it in a way that you are able to infer the meaning from the rest of the text. This book is suitable for students in 5th-7th grades. The one disclaimer that I have is that the aunt and uncle, who are guardians of the two kids in the story, are working through a divorce. Divorce is mentioned, but not a major theme of the book and doesn’t go into a lot of detail. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and look forward to another adventure with Addison Cooke and crew.
