Last Descendants

Assassin’s Creed: Last Descendants, #1

Written by Matthew J. Kirby

Ever since his father died in prison, Owen’s life has been a mess. One night, he and his friend, Javier, sneak out to explore an Animus with their school’s IT guy, Monroe. As a result, the two end up following their ancestral cellular memory back in time and, in the process, discover the existence of an ancient and powerful relic, The Trident of Even. To save themselves and the past, the two must find the relic. Two secret organizations,The Brotherhood of Assassins and the Kinghts Templar, are also after the record. With no idea who to trust, can Owen and Javier succeed? Is Monroe who he claims to be?

This action-packed, fast-paced, time travel adventure is well written, complex, and easily pulls the reader into Owen and Javier’s world. The characters are intriguing, well developed, and the dynamics between them is amazing. Whether or not readers are familiar with Assassin’s Creed, fans of time travel and adventure will enjoy reading this book.
