The Inquisition

The Summoner, #2

Written by Taran Matharu

Finally freed from a long, unjust imprisonment, Fletcher and his demon, Ignatius, join his friends, Sylva the elf and Othello the dwarf, on a mission to recuse an unnamed prisoner from deadly orc territory. Along the way they face unknown dangers and betrayal from within their own ranks, as well as unexpected aid and allies. The success of the mission hangs in the balance and the friends must be resourceful if they are to survive. Matharu’s tome is well-paced and full of action. The reader’s interest is captured from the start and held to the end. This is a worthy sequel to Novice, and I look forward to Book 3!
