19 years a Media Clerk? Wow! That is so amazing. I would love to shadow you someday and glean some Media Center operation insights, you could probably teach a class.

  2. Marjorie you have inspired me to read outside the childrens’ literature box! You are so well read and I am impressed. We also grew up in the same era with Dick and Jane and I didn’t like Silas Marner either!!

  3. I agree with Christine and would love to tap into your wealth of library knowledge and tips and tricks! i love the diversity of books you enjoy and also that you recommend to students. There are a few that I’ve added to my list. Thanks Marjorie for being a great example of an awesome media clerk! We all look up to you!

  4. I have been wanting to read the book “Homeless Bird.” It looks like a good book. I will have to make time to read it.

  5. Marjorie, You are a very well read person. Also I have never heard of the Enola Holms mysteries. Will have to check them out! Thanks of sharing.

  6. I am like Sara, The Enola Holmes Mystery series looks interesting. I’ll have to check it out. All things Holmes are really ‘in’ right now.

Thank you for your input. I borrow many ideas from my great friend Marjorie. She is very knowledgeable and on top of what is fun. She tells me ways to “go the extra mile” by explaining how the book is illustrated and a little extra something to make the story come to life. She is a researcher at school and in life. We have many in depth discussions about books and life. Good advice to tap her wisdom!

  8. THANKS to all of you for your kind comments.
By the way I sure do look unhappy in my picture, I really do smile most of
    the time! ha ha
