Penguin Day: A Family Story

Written and Photographed by Nic Bishop

The book starts with a picture of a baby penguin and its parents. Baby is hungry, so mom has to go out to the ocean to find food and not get eaten herself. This book is a great introduction to how animal families are similar to human families. The pictures, taken by the author himself, go along with the text perfectly.

It was a little disappointing that a lot of info is in the last pages of the book and it’s got a lot of bigger words that littles aren’t going to be able to read themselves.
