Another Way to Climb a Tree

Written by Liz Garton Scanlon, Illustrated by Hadley Hooper

I love books that stretch the imagination; this book does that. The pictures are active, vivid, and tell the story as well as the dialog. Hats off to Liz Scanlon and Hadley Hooper for a great children’s picture book.
Lulu climbs all the trees in her neighborhood. Tall ones, scary ones, wide ones, and ones that no one else would climb. Lulu becomes sick and can’t climb trees anymore. She is secluded to her room while the Sun and the Moon climb her trees. She is jealous of the Sun and Moon. Then imagination takes over and she climbs a tree in her room and hides and disappears. Fun book. Five stars. I think K through 4th Grade. Nothing Objectionable.
