Leon and his younger sister, Grace, have recently moved to London from New York and are struggling to settle into their new school.When rumors of an unidentified plague in Africa begin to fill the news, no one thinks a thing of it, until the virus hits London. With people turning to liquid and a virus wiping out most of the population, the two are desperate to survive. Who, however, can they trust? Is there a cure? Will they survive? They witness people turning to liquid before their eyes, and they run for their lives.
Action-packed, engrossing, and well written, this plot is sure to entertain and delight reluctant readers. The characters are engaging and well developed. Readers who enjoy science fiction, dystopian fiction, and survival fiction will be begging for the next installment. Grades 8 and up.
