My Father’s Words, by Patricia MacLachlan

Written by Patricia MacLachlan

In my opinion this is a very good book. It is inspiring. I read Sarah, Plain and Tall for Battle of the Books and liked My Father’s Words better. It is not the best book I have read, but if I had to rate it 1 out of 10, I would rate it a 9.

I think one of the good qualities of this book is, it has people who lost their dad (he died), but they still found a way to be happy. If you get sad easily, than you might cry because of the way their dad dies. The end for me was the best. I think many people will like this book. I am very picky about books and I really liked it. I think it is appropriate for grades 2 and up.
