Math Lab for Kids: Game of Nim & Graph Theory

Fun, Hands-On Activities for Learning Math

Written by Rebecca Rapoport and J.A. Yoder

The introduction to this book itself is amazing. It really wets your appetite. There is a brief description on how to use this book, which is also helpful. Really this book could be used by any age group elementary to high school. You begin by learning a game called Nim. This book teaches math concepts by solving simpler problems first, analyzing your strategies and applying them to more complex problems later. By the end of the book, and by playing and strategizing many different ways, you finally learn the real game of Nim. This book was fun to read, and to play with my kids. There are lots of hints, and helps at the back of the book.
