#GSDLibraries Display Roundup | November 2019

Here are a few of the latest displays popping up in school libraries throughout our district this month.

First Lines Display and Promotion

First Lines Display and Promotion – Rebecca Fellows and Shelley Francom, Pioneer Elementary

Rebecca Fellows and Shelley Francom, the media clerks at Pioneer Elementary, took some of the great “forgotten books” (books that hadn’t been checked out from their library in several years), wrapped them up, wrote the first line of the book on the front, and the barcode and reading level on the back. Students pick a book based on the first line and it being at a workable reading level for them, but they cannot open it until they get back to their classroom. Rebecca says, “The excitement and interest from the students is just blowing my mind!”
