The Artifact Hunters

Written by Janet Fox

This book reminds me of the mysterious feeling of reading Serafina and the Black Cloak by Robert Beatty. It feels like realistic fiction by being set during the Second World War, but then crosses into fantasy by taking us on a journey through time and magic. Some of the characters were in The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle and this is a continuation of that book, yet you can read it by itself.

This is a book for kids that like creepy, mysterious stories and I will recommend it to those readers in our school. It is a great adventure story that uses a host of character types: Nazis, a sluagh, a wraith, a Seelie fae, a dragon, ghosts, and other magicians and monsters.

Your imagination is required to read this book! It will keep you on your toes!
