Squirrel’s Family Tree

Written by Beth Ferry, Illustrated by A. N. Kang

I chose this book because I love squirrels and the cover has a delightful picture of squirrels on the front. The book covers the life of a squirrel through the process of preparing for winter by collecting and hiding acorns. It covers habitat, hibernation, and touches on the growth of trees. I loved that it is a common animal; the squirrel is an animal most students encounter while in the outdoors, whether it be hiking, camping, or even walking in the park.
