Andrea is tired of life. Three years ago, her brother, Francis, went missing. No one knew what happened, but her parents seem to want to forget Francis. Andrea’s dad has moved out. Andrea’s mom has packed Francis’s stuff and wants it out of the house. Andrea blames herself for the disappearance of Francis and her family falling apart. She just wants to forget.

While running away from the situation, Andrea discovers her escape in the forest; a land of dreams where she can forget her troubles. She just needs to pay the price of a memory to the Sandman. Andrea must decide if memories are worth keeping even if they are painful.

There is definitely some fantasy going on in this book. Is Andrea dreaming or not? What is real and not real?
