Little Ghoul Goes To School

Written and Illustrated by Jef Czekaj

The first day of school is a little scary for lots of people, sometimes even for monsters, like Little Ghoul. She is nervous and worries about all of the opposite things than normal people. She is worried about friendly people, nice teachers, sunny weather, safe bus drivers, yummy food. and friends! When that first day finally comes, she finds out what school is really like. . .

As fun as this book is, younger kids seemed to need a little help to understand that she likes things completely different than the average human, but it wasn’t hard to help them understand. And they all seem to like monsters and scary characters in books, so this book went over well as a read aloud. What a fun and funny book!
